Undisturbed Kite Spot
Our Tropikal Foil and Kitesurf Center is strategically located at the far end of the village, giving you enough space for yourself to learn and practice in an ideal environment. Easily accessible and undisturbed!
Facilities
Our school is at the LunArena Hotel, where you have access to all facilities, including showers, bathrooms, the pool, and Wi-Fi. If you bring your own equipment, there are washing and storage facilities available.
Restaurant and Bar
The restaurant and bar located at the LunArena Hotel can accommodate your non-kiting companions and provide a great spot to relax with a cold drink after your kiting session.

I am a kitesurf, wing and foil instructor and live with my family here in El Cuyo. In case of a no-wind day, I’ll happily take you on a day trip around the area. Native to El Cuyo, I will happily recommend you where to go and what to explore – so you will discover the best of the surroundings.

Native to El Cuyo, I learned kitesurfing as a young boy together with my friends. I love that kitesurfing allows me to always challenge myself – higher, faster, more complex or with added style… In case I am not teaching or kiting myself, I go fishing, take visitors on guided tours or dedicate myself to environmental work.

I have a huge passion for kitesurfing and recently discovered the thrill of wingfoiling. I love that my work as a certified kiteboarding instructor allows me to travel the world. El Cuyo is one of my favorite spots – not only for the wind and water conditions, but also for the laid-back vibe and friendly people.

I’m a fisherman by profession, but my heart belongs to kitesurfing. Growing up in El Cuyo, I learned kitesurfing from my friends and now I pass on my knowledge to our students. What I love about kitesurfing is the feeling of freedom on the water – and the amazing views of the coast. The sunsets from the water are amazing.

The first time I came to El Cuyo I planned on staying one month, and ended up staying six. This place is simply magical. Since then, I keep on going back and forth between Yucatán and other amazing kiteboarding spots in the world. If you are looking for a lesson in German or French, I’ll be more than happy to introduce you to kitesurfing or wingfoiling.
